Today’s video of the day is Orange Sector – “Schmerz” released in 2025.

Orange Sector returns with a powerful new video for Schmerz, featuring TC75. This track is the third single from their 2024 album Feuer und Flamme. The collaboration adds an intense energy to the band’s signature EBM sound. The German EBM band formed in 1992 in Hannover. They first gained recognition under Zoth Ommog Records in the 1990s. After a brief hiatus in 1998, they returned in 2004, signing with Infacted Recordings. That same year, they released Here We Are [Back Again], a compilation that marked their resurgence. The album reached #10 on the German Alternative Charts (DAC).

Orange Sector continued their momentum with Bassprodukt (2006), Profound (2007), and Mindfuck (2009). Their EP Clubprodukt, featuring tracks from Bassprodukt, also charted. In 2010, they released Krieg & Frieden on Infacted and Metropolis Records. This marked their first U.S. release. Over the years, the band evolved. They dropped Night Terrors in 2015, followed by the EPs Glasmensch and Monoton. In 2016, they completed this trilogy with Farben. In 2018, René Nowotny joined, strengthening their lineup. Their 2019 album Alarm took a political turn, addressing racism and hate.

Orange Sector kept pushing boundaries. In 2021, they teamed up with Armageddon Dildos for War of the Religions, which hit #8 on the DAC. That same year, they released Alles Wird Geld. The track The Work Is Done from the album became a hit, peaking at #2 on the DAC in 2022. Now in 2024, the band is in the middle of a new EP trilogy. Tanzfabrik and Wo Bist Du set the stage for Schmerz. This latest release features Tino Claus of TC75, bringing a fresh edge. The video captures the raw energy of the song, blending dark aesthetics with pulsating beats.

Schmerz ties into Feuer und Flamme with its driving rhythms and aggressive vocals. The album continues the band’s legacy of hard-hitting EBM. Fans of their previous work will find the same relentless intensity. Orange Sector shows no signs of slowing down. With each release, they prove why they remain a force in the EBM scene. Schmerz is another step forward in their electrifying journey.
