Today’s video of the day is Ministry – “Every Day Is Halloween” released in 2025.
Ministry has revisited their iconic track Every Day Is Halloween with a fresh take. The "Squirrely Version" appears on The Squirrely Years Revisited, released in 2025 on Cleopatra Records. This reimagining brings a new twist to the beloved classic while staying true to its roots. Ministry, led by Al Jourgensen, formed in 1981. The band started with a synthpop sound but soon shifted to industrial metal. Their early work, including With Sympathy (1983), featured a more electronic style. However, by the late ’80s, albums like The Land of Rape and Honey (1988) and The Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Taste (1989) defined their heavier, aggressive sound.
Originally released in 1984, Every Day Is Halloween became a cult anthem in the goth and industrial scenes. It captured the feeling of being an outsider, resonating with fans worldwide. Ministry has revisited the song several times, with different versions reflecting their evolving style. The new music video, directed by Vicente Cordero, adds a modern visual touch. Industrialism Films handled the production, with Alexander Flanagan as the director of photography. Arion Csihar produced, while Fernando Cordero worked as the gaffer. The team also included Kevin Angel on production and Fabian Tehrani as the Steadicam operator.
This version fits well with The Squirrely Years Revisited, a collection of Ministry’s reworked classics. The album blends nostalgia with new energy, offering fans a fresh perspective on familiar songs. Ministry continues to honor their past while embracing the future.
