Richard West, better known as Mr.C from The Shamen, returned in July 2026 with the witty parody "Count Binface." Released officially on August 1, 2026, the track transforms the band’s classic hit "Ebeneezer Goode" into a humorous political anthem. Instead of the famous "Es are good" refrain, listeners hear "Bins are good" in support of satirical candidate Count Binface. Furthermore, Mr.C recorded the song under the alias Sheman with the blessing of longtime Shamen collaborator Colin Angus. Director Harry Deansway also recreated the playful style of the original 1992 music video, making this release both nostalgic and fresh.
The Shamen began in the 1980s as a psychedelic rock group before evolving into one of Britain’s most influential electronic dance acts.
